Job Description:
Purpose: The position is primarily focused on Forum’s Intervention product line which principally includes, but not limited to, BOP’s for both the Wireline and Coiled Tubing Pressure Control market, related hardware for these sectors including strippers, lubricators, crossover and adapters, Hydraulic Latch Assembly (HLA) and ball drop, cased hole electromechanical cable and Envirolite (greaseless cable). This is a new position for the Intervention Product Line and will for a large part have to work autonomously from the support group based in the US and Canada. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating sales through direct customer contact throughout the Middle East/North Africa region and will be accountable for formulating the market strategy by customer and country, as-needed, to grow market share.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Initiate the sales process by building relationships; qualifying potential; scheduling appointments.
  • Develop sales by making initial presentation; explaining product and service enhancements and additions; introducing new products and services.
  • Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
  • Contribute information to sales strategies by evaluating current product results; identifying needs to be filled; monitoring competitive products; analyzing and relaying customer reactions.
  • Work with other Group sales teams to ensure we are servicing all our customer’s needs.
  • Represent the Company at various trade shows, exhibitions, conferences etc.
  • Sales visits to customers both in the Dubai and abroad to ensure we are bringing the right level of support along with the products they require.
  • Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
  • Recommend changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • From time to time, may be required to perform other tasks to ensure our mutual success.

Required Qualifications:
  • Secondary school qualifications (Essential)
  • Degree or Diploma in Engineering or Marketing discipline (Desirable)
Technical Competencies:
  • Knowledge of wireline and slickline equipment including electromechanical cables & pressure control equipment (Essential)
  • Knowledge of wireline and slickline operations (Essential)
  • Knowledge of coiled tubing operations (Essential)
  • Knowledge of coiled tubing equipment included pressure control equipment, coiled tubing units, nitrogen units, injector heads, etc (Desirable)
  • Knowledge of the Middle East & North Africa region (Essential)
  • Knowledge of both Land and Offshore intervention operations (Essential)
  • Knowledge of Tendering, Bidding, and Pre-Qualification (Desirable)
  • To be considered an expert in at least one or more of the above competencies (Essential)
  • Previous experience within a similar role (Essential)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the wireline and intervention market as a whole (Essential)
